INNER HARBOR PROMENADE

Winding around Baltimore’s Inner Harbor from Locust Point to historic Fell’s Point is an almost 7-mile paved promenade. It’s the perfect place to take in scenic views of the waterfront and the charming neighborhoods that surround it, whether out for a casual stroll or a run. Just be sure to keep your dog leashed at all times.


DRUID HILL PARK

The popular dog-friendly mile-long loop at the base of Druid Hill Park wraps around the drinking water reservoir, and offers sweeping views of the city below. The park is also home to the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore and the Howard Peters Rawlings Conservatory and Botanic Gardens.


JONES FALLS TRAIL

This ten-mile hiking and biking trail follows its namesake Jones Falls waterway, which winds through the woods, past Cylburn Arboretum and Druid Hill Park and down to the Inner Harbor. It’s so lush and hidden away you’ll forget you’re in the city.


Dog Parks – Anne Arundel County
Anne Arundel County encourages dog owners and their dogs to visit dog-friendly County parks through their DOGS IN THE PARK program. Well-behaved dogs can visit Bell Branch Park in Gambrills and Maryland City Park in Laurel.  Annapolis offers Broadneck Park and Quiet Waters Park (has fee; closed Tuesdays).


Cabin John Dog Park – Bethesda
The dog park at CABIN JOHN REGIONAL PARK offers one area for large dogs, another for small dogs.  The park itself is perfect for the entire family as there are activities for all.  County park designers planning future dog parks are guided by the design of the Cabin John Dog Park whose rock climbing structures are among many canine amenities.  MONTGOMERY PARKS offers designated dog areas at BLACK HILL REGIONAL PARK, RIDGE ROAD RECREATIONAL PARK, WHEATON REGIONAL PARK and OLNEY MANOR RECREATIONAL PARK. among others.


OC Dog Playground at 94th Street – Little Salisbury Park
The playground offers  two fenced areas for dogs to run off leash.  Amenities include a shared pavilion with picnic table, water fountains for dogs and owners, “Pooper-Scooper” dispensers and disposable bag.  Little Salisbury Park’s parking lot is on 94th St. and offers handicapped parking.
Users must register for an access card (with use fee). 


Matapeake State Park: Just over the Bay Bridge on Kent Island is Matapeake State Park. Down a short wooded trail you’ll find swimming beaches for both dogs and humans to enjoy. There are great views of the bridge and the bay. Be prepared to fly a kite, have a picnic, make sandcastles and get plenty of time in the water. (1112 Romancoke Rd, Stevensville)


Quiet Waters Park: Quiet Waters Park’s 340 acres includes boating, a playground, a butterfly garden, art galleries, and six miles of paved trails. It’s the perfect place for a quick getaway. There’s both a dog park and a dog beach! (600 Quiet Waters Park Road, Annapolis)


Paw Point Dog Park: Paw Point Dog Park (1000 Lakeside Dr) in Lake Roland Park has an off-leash swimming area for dogs, but a passcode is needed to enter. Consider going if you have a local friend with access. (1000 Lakeside Dr.)
